North Idaho College’s Theatre Department is holding auditions for the play based on the murder of Matthew Shepard, “The Laramie Project” by Moises Kaufman on Tuesday, Aug. 31 and Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m. both nights.
Four men and four women are needed to play a variety of characters of various ages and, sometimes, ethnicity. The play contains mature themes and language.
Performers who want to audition should prepare a one-to-two minute monologue (not required but preferred). There will also be cold readings. Scripts will be available for reading in Boswell Hall Room 214B beginning Aug. 23.
Rehearsals will be Mon.-Fri., 7-9:30 p.m.
Performances will be Oct. 21-23 and Oct. 28-30 at 7:30 p.m.
