Nominations Requested for Outstanding Idaho Volunteers

2010 Idaho Governor’s Brightest Star Awards

~ Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and First Lady Lori Otter to Host November 10th Ceremony ~

Serve Idaho: The Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism, a division of the Idaho Department of Labor is requesting nominations for the 2010 Governor’s Brightest Star Awards honoring outstanding volunteers throughout Idaho. The Governor’s Brightest Star Awards Program recognizes Idaho’s “unsung heroes” whose volunteerism positively impacts the quality of life within their communities.

On November 10, 2010, Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and First Lady Lori Otter will recognize nominees at an awards ceremony in Boise. If honorees are unable to attend the statewide ceremony, arrangements will be made for candidates to receive awards in their local communities.

Nominations will be accepted in six categories:
§ Individual
§ Student
§ School
§ Organization (Non-Profit or Service Club)
§ Small Business (Fewer than 100 Employees)
§ Corporation (More than 99 Employees)

The deadline for nominations is September 20, 2010. Nomination forms are available on-line at http://www.brighteststars.idaho.gov/nomination_process.htm. Nomination packets may also be requested through the mail by calling Serve Idaho at 208-332-3578 or 1-800-588-3334, within Idaho.
